Why “Cook 10 Rats?” Our name is a nod to the common MMO schtick to send questing players out to “kill 10 rats” (ie: kill X monsters for Y quest task). So we are collecting a raiding party of gamers who cook to join us on food adventures, quests, and inventory management “in real life!” We’re gamers and homemakers; we’re crafters in our games and in real life. It all comes together on the perpetual quest we call life!
Ann “Cyliena” Hosler
A gamer, a mother, and a mother of gamers. Writer, copy-editor, micromanager. My opinions are my own.
Ann was introduced to online gaming back during the reign of MUDs, and even met her husband of over a decade through a MUD called 3 Kingdoms. In March of 1999, a little game called EverQuest whisked her up with its valuable cracked staff and life has been a crazy MMO ride ever since. She still plays EverQuest and EverQuest II, and occasionally pops in to adventure on Rift, Guild Wars 2, and Landmark. Outside the MMO-world, Ann enjoys many RPGs such as the Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, Diablo, and the Wizardry series, strategy games such as Banished, Tropico 4 & 5, the Civilization and Total War series, Sims 3 & 4, the Assassin’s Creed series, her monthly tabletop D&D sessions, and more.
